First couple of days we spent at Volcanoes National Park, Here are the boys exploring the Thurston
Lava Tube.
The last three days we spent on the Kona coast, we visited an old Hawaiian "Place of Refuge," where Hawaiians could go if they had broken "Kapu" and be forgiven.
We drove up to the visitor center of Mauna Kea, the highest mountain (13,000+ft) in Hawaii. It was cold up there! Saw a great sunset, the mountain in the distance is Mauna Loa, the second highest mountain in Hawaii. After dark, there were a bunch of telescopes set up and we did some great stargazing.
